QUINCY -- The Ladies of Charity Center at South Fourth and State has closed the clothing and household items portion of its operation until further notice.

In order to continue to provide food to Adams County residents who need it, the food pantry will be open from 9 a.m. to noon Mondays and Fridays. Diapers will be available.

Patrons are asked to bring a photo ID and proof of residence when visiting.

The Ladies of Charity Thrift Store at North 24th and Elm will close at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 19.

The closings are in effort to decrease the risk of exposure to COVID-19.

During the closing, neither the Ladies of Charity Center nor the thrift store will accept donations.

The organization asks that donations not be placed at the doors when no one can receive it.
