Roger and Marcia Edwards of Quincy are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to New York and Bermuda later this year. The couple traveled to Hawaii last year.
Roger and Marcia were high school sweethearts and met while working as carhops at A&W on N. 12th Street.
Mr. Edwards and the former Marcia Behrens were married Feb. 14, 1970, at Madison Park Church, Quincy.
Mr. Edwards is a son of the late Glenn and Darlene Edwards. Mrs. Edwards is a daughter of the late GW and Betty Behrens.
They are the parents of the late Christina Edwards, Lori Klusman of Quincy, Lisa Beth Job, of Quincy, and Michael Edwards.
They have seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Roger retired from Frito Lay and works as bus driver for QPS. He is a former elder and softball coach of Madison Park Church. He is an active member of Q-Town CrossFit.
Marcia works for Quincy Farm Products. She was a former Bible study facilitator for Madison Park Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Edwards are members of Madison Park Church.
