HANNIBAL, Mo. -- A Hannibal man was arrested in an early Wednesday morning stabbing.
The Hannibal Police Department said officers were called to the 1200 block of 36th Street at 1:05 a.m. for an assault and found that a 36-year-old Hannibal man had been stabbed. The man was taken by ambulance for treatment of injuries.
Police said another man, Roy G. Darnell, 61, of Hannibal, had fled the scene but was located a short time later and arrested. Darnell was taken to the Marion County Jail.
A warrant was issued Wednesday charging Darnell with second-degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. Bond was set at $50,000 cash only.
