QUINCY — Quincy Transit Lines will continue to operate its regular schedule on Friday, April 10, but other city departments, including Central Services, will be closed for Easter weekend.
In an announcement, the city said Quincy City Hall will be closed Friday and will not reopen until Monday, April 13. City Hall will continue to be closed to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but city residents can still use the drive-up services to pay utility bills and licenses in person. Residents also can make payments online and by phone.
Due to the closing of Central Services, there will not be garbage and recycling collection on Friday. Routes normally scheduled for Friday will be picked up on Thursday along with the normal Thursday route. Yard waste pickup will still take place on Friday.
The Quincy City Council meeting will be at 7 p.m. Monday, April 13, in council chambers. The meeting is closed to the public but will be streamed online.
