Accreditations/Certifications

Dana Walker, associate professor of business at Quincy University, earned his association of supply chain management risk management certificate in education on Oct. 1, 2019, after the Association of Supply Chain Management Annual Conference. He also is certified in production and inventory management from the American Production and Inventory Control Society and the Association of Supply Chain Management.

Appointments

Jennifer Grindstaff, an English instructor at John Wood Community College, has been selected to be a faculty scholar during Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society's 2020 summer conference. She is an adviser to JWCC's PTK chapter, Alpha Tau Gamma.

Dale Phillips of Bella Vista, Ark., has joined the Board of the New Philadelphia Association in Pike County, Ill. He was superintendent of the Lincoln Home National Historic Site in Springfield until 2017. Phillips has a bachelor's degree in American history from York College of Pennsylvania.

Activities

Beth Entrup, owner of Healthy Hounds Canine Massage and More, recently attended a fitness and conditioning seminar for canines, given by Lisa Schmit, a master trainer for Fit Paws equipment. Entrup is certified in canine oncology massage, canine palliative and hospice care, myofascial trigger point therapy, lymphatic massage, CPR and first aid.

Honors

Alan Munger, a captain with the Quincy Fire Department, was named February Employee of the Month.
