JWCC offers Tai Chi for Health classes to community

QUINCY -- John Wood Community College's Community Based Outreach will offer Tai Chi for Health classes starting March 3, meeting six times from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday evenings.

Tai Chi is a slow, fluid sequence of martial arts and health movements, used to maintain muscle strength and protect joints. Jessica Myers is a certified teacher of Tai Chi, with a current emphasis on fall prevention. "Arthritis, back pain, cardiovascular issues, Parkinson's, and stress can be improved through the practice of Tai Chi," said Myers.
