Married 60 years: Don and Sharon Berryman

Don and Sharon Berryman of Coatsburg, Ill., are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner hosted by their children.

Mr. Berryman and the former Sharon Hantelman were married Jan. 31, 1960, in Fenton, Iowa. The couple met in Colorado Springs, Colo., in 1959, while Don was on active duty in the United States Air Force (Air Weather Service) and Sharon was living and working in Colorado Springs.

Don is a son of the late Dewey and Pansy Berryman. Sharon is a daughter of the late Eldon and Dolores Hantelman.

They are the parents of Beth Schutte of Quincy, Scott (Mary) Berryman of Quincy, and Sarah Miller of Camp Point, Ill. They have seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Don retired from the United States Postal Service. His activities include Trustee of Adam's County Water District #1, Member of National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association, Member of High Twelve, Member of Benjamin Lodge #297 AF & AM Camp Point, Member of Quincy Consistory, and member of Cornerstone Class at Madison Park Christian Church.

Sharon retired from her own upholstery business and the United States Postal Service. She is a member of Cornerstone Class at Madison Park Christian Church, and the Antique Club of Quincy.

Mr. and Mrs. Berryman are members of Madison Park Christian Church.
